    Nənənin gözəl bağı -bağçası, bağında çoxlu ağacları – gülləri var idi. Ağacların şip-şirin meyvələri var idi… Qızıl gülün, yasəmənin ətri hər yeri bürüyürdü… Buranı heç sevməmək olardımı?

    Bu ilin sentyabr ayında Leyla birinci sinifə getməyə hazırlaşırdı. Amma hələ yay idi və balaca qız qayğısız günlərdən zövq alırdı…

    Günlərin bir günündə balaca qızcığaz həyacanla evə tərəf qaçırdı…  O hönkürtü ilə ağlayırdı. Ovcunda nəyi isə tutub, qayğı ilə bağrına basırdı. Evə yaxınlaşarkən, uşaq nənəsini səslədi:

    -Nənə can, nənə can! – ucadan nənəsini çağırdı.

    -Can nənə! Nə olub, ay bala? – deyə, nənə cəld mətbəxdən çıxdı.

    -Bir bura bax… – Leyla ovcunu açib, yazıq-yazıq nənəsinə baxdı.

    Nənə eynək taxıb, nəvəsinin əllərinə nəzər saldı. Qızcığazın əlində bir yaralı qaranquş gördü.

    -Sən bunu hardan tapdın, ay qızım?

    -Hasarın dibindən… Onu qonşunun oğlu daşla vurdu… Mən özüm gördüm… Ona dedim “vurma”, o isə dilini mənə göstərdi və “Sənə nə var?.. O bizim meyvələri yeyir, oğurluq edir. Əcəb elədim, ona bu da azdır” dedi və qaçdı.

    Nənə başını tərpətdi. Onun da quşa yazığı gəldi.

    -Yaxşı ki sən onu tapdın. Yoxsa Məstan pişiyimizin əlinə düşsəydi, vay onun halına… Axı o yaralıdır, nə uça, nə də özünü müdafiə edə bilir. Mənim ağıllı qızım, sən onu xilas etdin… – nənə nəvənin başını tumarladı.

    -Nənə can, biz onu sağalda bilərik?

    -Baxarıq, cəhd göstərərik, bəlkə bir şey alındı…

    Sonra nənə ilə nəvə evə getdılər.

    Qaranquşun sınmış qanadını dərmanlayıb, sarıdılar.  Qaranquşa su verdilər. Və balaca qutuya təmiz dəsmalı dördqat edib, quşu sakit qoydular. Nənə dedi:

    -Hə, indi qoy dincəlsin. Sonra biz ona yemək, dən verərik.

    -O sağalar?

    -Biz bacardığımızı elədik… İndi hər şey Allahın əlindədir! Allaha pənah!

    Gün keçdi… Aylı bir gecə gəldi… Balaca qızın yataq otağı ay işığına bürünmüşdü. Qızcığaz çarpayıda uzanıb, pıçıldayır:

    -Allah baba, səndən xahiş edirəm, bizim qaranquşumuza kömək et! Qoyma ölsün! Axı o yazıqdır…

    Sonra uşaq sakitcə yatdı…

    LEYLANIN YUXUSU

    Leyla bütün canlıları sevirdi – quşları da, heyvanları da… Çünki nənə deyirdi ki, onları da Allah yaradıb… Nənə hətta deyirdi ki, bütün canlılar, insanlar kimi öz balalarını sevir, onlara görə canlarından keçərlər… Bu sözlər uşağın beynində həkk olunmuşdur və o, heç bir zaman razı olmazdı ki, kimsə heyvanı və ya quşu incitsin.

    Leyla şirin yuxuya getmişdir… Yuxuda o qaranquşu görmüşdür… Yox, yox, xilas etdiyini yox… Onun anasını…

    Hətta qaranquşun anası danışırdı. O, deyirdi: “Çox sağol, Leyla, sən mənim qızımı xilas etdin!”

    Səhər açildı… Gün çıxdı… Quşlar cəh-cəh vurub, oxuyurdular. Onlar səhəri, Günəşi mahnılarıyla qarşılayır, salamlayırdılar…

    Leyla çarpayıdan durub, əl-üzünü yuyub, nənəsinin yanına qaçdı. Nənə bağda idi… Səhər-səhər ağaclara su verirdi, meyvələri dərib, səbətə yığırdı, mürəbbə bişirməyə hazırlaşırdı…

    -Nənə can, sabahın xeyir! – deyə Leyla nənəni qucaqladı və bərk-bərk öpdü… Sanki nənəni illər boyu görməyib.

    -Mənim gözəl qızım, sabahın xeyir! Necə yatdın? Narahat deyildin?

    -Yox, ay nənə… Yuxuda qaranquşun anasını görmüşəm, o mənə çox sağol deyirdi… Nənə, qaranquşun anası olur? – qız nənəsindən təəcüblə soruşdu.

    -Əlbətdə, qızım, hamısının anası var, – nənə gülə-gülə dedi. Uşağın sözləri, düşüncələri nənənin xoşuna gəldi. – Və bütün analar öz balalarını sevir!

    Bu hadisədən sonra bir neçə gün keçdi… Artıq qaranquş sağalmışdır. Sarığı qanadından açmışdılar. Hətta o uçmağa cəhd göstərirdi. Amma uzağa uçmurdu.

    Balaca nəvə nənəsinə müraciət edərək:

    -Nənə can, o niyə uzağa getmir? Uça bilmir?

    -Yox bala, o sənə öyrəşib… Deyirlər ki, heyvanlar, quşlar insan dili bilmir… Mən razı deyiləm, onlar hər şeyi başa düşür – yaxşılığı da, pisliyi də… Sən ona kömək etdin, ölümdən qurtardın, o isə sənə minnətdardı. Baxarsan, o buralardan heç yerə getməyəcək. Elə bizim bağda yuva quracaq, balalarını bəsləyəcək…

    -Sən bütün bunları hardan bilirsən, nənə can? – Leyla təəcüblə soruşdu.

    -Heyvanların və quşların çoxusu vəfalı olur…

    Elə nənənin dediyi kimi də oldu… Qaranquş bu bağdan uzaqlaşmadı…

    QUŞLARIN XEYRİ NƏDƏDİR?

    Nənənin evinə yaxınlaşarkən,  hər bir kəs maraqlı mənzərə görə bilərdi. Lap evin damının altında qaranquş yuva qurmuşdu.

     

     

    Yuvaya nəzər salanda, orada beş balaca quşcuğaz görmək olardı… Onlar səs-küy edirdılər, çünki ana qaranquş onları tərk edib, ova çıxımışdı. O cücüləri, böcəkləri, xırda həşəratları ovlayıb, balalarına gətirir.

    Bir ağacın budağında tıftıl oturub, ləzzətlə, iştahla yarpaq yeyir. Qaranquş onu tutur və yuvasına aparır. Balasına yedizdirir. Sonra yenə də bağa qayıdır. O birisi ağacda qurd yetişmiş almaya hucum edir, lakin qaranquş onu qabaqlayir… Onu da tutub, məhv edir.

    Bütün gün qaranquş yuvasına həşərat daşıyır. Balalarını yemləyir.

    Bunu görən Leyla nənəsinə deyir:-Yaziq qaranquş, yəqin o yorulub.

    -Yox, bala, həşəratları məhv etmək quşların peşəsidir. Onlar həşəratları yeyir və bununla insanlara xeyir gətirirlər.

    -Necə? – nəvə təəccübləndi.

    -Axı həşəratlar ziyan gətirir: ağacları, gülləri, meyvələri məhv edirlər. Quşlar isə bunun qarşısını alırlar… Quşlar olmasa, həşəratlar ağacları qırar, bizə də heçnə qalmaz. Bizim bu qaranquşumuz da gündə yüzlərlə ziyanverici həşəratları öldürür…

    -Deməli bizim qaranquşumuz ağıllıdır! – nəvə gülümsüyərək dedi.

    Yaz keçdi… Yay bitdi… Payız ayı gəldi.

    Qaranquşun balaları böyüdü. Onlar uçmağı öyrəndilər. İndi analarıyla birlikdə bağa nəzarət edib, həşəratları məhv edirdilər. Amma yavaş-yavaş havalar soyumağa başladı, yağışlar yağdı… Qış fəsli yaxınlaşırdı.

    Qaranquş balaları ilə birlikdə uçmağa hazırlaşırdılar.

    Leyla nənəsindən soruşdu:

    -Nənə can, quşlar qışda harda qizlənirlər?

    -Onlar isti ölkələrə uçurlar, çünki qışda buralar soyuq olur. Amma yazda onlar yenə də Vətənə qayıdacaqlar.

    -Mütləq qayıdacaqlar? – qız öz dostunu – qaranquşu itirmək istəmirdi.

    -Mütləq, qızım! – nənə onu sakitləşdirməyə çalışırdı.

    -Gözləyərik!.. – uşaq dərindən “ah” çəkdi…

    Qış gəlir. Qar yağır.  Balaca qız evin pəncərəsindən küçəyə baxır. Günlər keçir.

    Nəhayət bahar gəlir. Ağaclar tumurcuk açır. Çəmənləri gönçələr, güllər bəzəyir. Quşlar Vətənə üz tuturlar…
