O bildirib ki, zəlzələ baş vermiş ərazilərdəki dağıntılar hissə-hissə aradan qaldırılır:
“Biz zəlzələ baş vermiş ərazilərdə yaşayan xalqımızın əzmini gördük. Köməksevərliyi, qardaşlıq duyğusunu gördük. Müvafiq qurumların, o cümlədən bələdiyyələrin, vətəndaş cəmiyyətinin, hərbçilərin, polislərin və könüllülərin işlərinin öhdəsindən layiqincə gəldiyini gördük”.
Qeyd edək ki, fevralın 6-da ocağı Türkiyənin Kahramanmaraş şəhərinin Pazarcık rayonunda olan 7,7 maqnitudalı və 9 saat sonra episentri eyni şəhərin Elbistan rayonu olan 7,6 maqnitudalı iki zəlzələ olub.
Güclü yeraltı təkanlardan sonra bölgədə 6,6 maqnitudayadək 10 000-dən çox afterşok qeydə alınıb. İki zəlzələ həmçinin Livan, Kipr, İraq, İsrail, İordaniya, İran və Misirdə hiss edilib.
Təbii fəlakət Türkiyə və Suriyada böyük dağıntı və onminlərlə itkiyə səbəb olub. Türkiyənin zəlzələ baş verən 10 şəhərində 3 aylıq fövqəladə vəziyyət elan olunub.
Bu hadisə Türkiyədə 1939-cu ildən bəri qeydə alınan ən güclü zəlzələ kimi tarixə düşüb.
Zəlzələdən dərhal sonra Azərbaycanda qardaş ölkə üçün yardım toplanmasına başlanılıb.
